Whether laser equipment is used or not, Phacoemulsification technique is one of the most modern, most preferred and most reliable types of cataract operation today. In Phacoemulsification operation entry into the eye chamber is obtained through a 2 mm wide incision in the cornea. After the lens capsule is peeled, the cataract itself is removed by being emulsified using an ultrasound laser, and then an eye lens is placed into the emptied capsule. This eye lens can be one of two types, consisting of Monofocal or Multifocal. No stitching is used and there is no pain or stinging complaints after the operation.
